HOME TO PERTH (D)

Meet your Ross Tours representative at Sydney Domestic Airport for your Qantas flight to Perth. On arrival in Perth our Tour Leader Colin Barlow will transfer you to the Duxton Hotel, our home near the Swan River for 2 nights. Join your fellow travellers at our Welcome Dinner tonight.

DAY 2 SUN 7 SEP

FREMANTLE (B/D)

A profusion of wildflowers will decorate this road trip through some of Western Australia’s most biodiverse landscapes. The first hotspot, Wireless Hill Park, will be our introduction into this extraordinary world of wildflowers. Panoramic views of the city & Swan River are breathtaking! Free time here to explore. Next stop is South Beach & Bold Park, Perth’s largest urban bushland park, with more wildflowers! Finish the day at iconic Cottesloe Beach for sunset and dinner.

DAY 3 MON 8 SEP

PERTH TO ALBANY (B/L)

Travel south to the historic port town of Albany through majestic forests of ancient Marri Bloodwoods & towering Jarrah trees. Stop for lunch at Kojonup. Go hunting with Colin for delicate spider & cowslip orchids. Check in to your hotel for the next four nights.

DAY 4 TUE 9 SEP

VALLEY OF THE GIANTS (B/L)

A bucket list day! Ascend into the treetops of some of the tallest trees on earth. The Valley of the Giants Treetop Walk gives you a bird’s eye view of ancient red ‘Tingles’ (Eucalyptus jacksonii). These trees occur nowhere else in the world, their origins trace back to Gondwana!

DAY 5 WED 10 SEP

ALBANY (B/L)

A day to explore WA’s southern coastline, with its bounty of diverse flora. First, we head to the lookouts at The Gap and Natural Bridge for panoramic views of the Southern Ocean. Nearby is the Regional Wildflower Centre, a botanic hotspot with over 10,000 indigenous plants.

DAY 6 THU 11 SEP

STIRLING RANGES (B/L)

Highlight today in the Stirling Ranges & Porongurup National Park, top hot spots for wildflowers, possibly the best anywhere! Colin will be hunting for terrestrial orchids, banksias and Qualup

bells, to name a few. Stick close!

DAY 7 FRI 12 SEP

ALBANY TO HOPETOUN (B/L/D)

We are travelling to Hopetoun today with a lunch stop in Ravensthorpe to visit the Ravensthorpe Wildflower Show, a celebrated exhibition to showcase the abundance of floral diversity in this region. It’s a mind-blowing display!

DAY 8 SAT 13 SEP

FITZGERALD RIVER NATIONAL PARK (B/L/D)

More wildflowers today in Fitzgerald River National Park including Qualup Bell, Regelia, bell-fruited Mallee, Scarlet Banksia and the Albany Woolly Bush.

DAY 9 SUN 14 SEP

RAVENSTHORPE (B/L/D)

Hopetoun is the gateway to Fitzgerald River National Park - a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve with 1,800 plant species. We will go hunting for delicate orchids and unusual Eucalypt species.

DAY 10 MON 15 SEP

HOPETOUN TO ESPERANCE (B/L/D)

Travel south today, through wetlands & Mallee country with roads lined with pink-barked Salmon Gums, to the turquoise-fringed waters of Esperance.

DAY 11 TUE 16 SEP

CAPE LE GRAND (B/L/D)

First stop this morning is Cape Le Grand Beach to view Frenchman Peak, then onto Hellfire Fire Bay, Thistle Cove and Lucky Bay, to see kangaroos on the beach. Later in the afternoon arrive at Esperance’s Stonehenge, before we return to our hotel. Lunch and dinner included today.

ESPERANCE TO HYDEN (B/L/D)

It’s a colourful drive to Hyden today with more Salmon Gums & carpets of wildflowers to colour the landscape. Hyden’s claim to fame is 2,700 million-year-old Wave Rock, impressive!

DAY 13 THU 18 SEP

HYDEN TO PERTH (B/L)

We have come full circle today as we travel through Wheatbelt Country back to Perth. Lunch stop at Corrigin, ‘Town of Windmills’. Check back into The Duxton.

KINGS PARK (B/D)

It’s show time in Perth’s famous Kings Park, a fitting end to our journey. This is the 62nd Kings Park Festival. Farewell Dinner at the Duxton tonight.
