Schonbrunn Palace (B)

Morning visit to the iconic Vienna State Opera and historic St Stephen’s Cathedral before we spend the afternoon at the magnificent Schonbrunn Palace, once the summer residence of the Habsburg rulers, to explore our first Christmas market. This evening, optional visit to a Wiener Mozart Concert.

DAY 4  Thursday 4 December 2025

Vienna  (B)

Spend the morning exploring Vienna on a guided tour. Afternoon at leisure to soak in more of Vienna’s Christmas spirit. Visit the Christkindlmarket set against the stunning City Hall with an ice-skating rink and a magical train ride - a scene straight out of a holiday movie.

DAY 5  Friday 5 December 2025

Vienna To Prague (B/D)

Visit Cesky Krumlov today enroute to Prague, one of the most beautiful towns in the Czech Republic and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Time to wander streets, shops and cafes. Check into our hotel for the next two nights, in the heart of the city near Wenceslas Square. Time to explore the magnificent Christmas markets this afternoon.

DAY 6  SAT 6 DEC

Prague (B)

Guided morning tour through the Old Town and onto Prague Castle. Built in the 9th century, the castle is the official residence and workplace of the president of the Czech Republic. Afternoon at leisure to explore Christmas markets, with dazzling wooden huts full of local Christmas treats and hearty cuisine.

DAY 7  Sunday 7 December 2025

Prague to Dresden (B/D)

Onto Dresden, with a scenic stop at the historic town of Litomerice in its beautiful spot on the river Elbe. Continue to Schloss Pillnitz surrounded by the tranquil Pillnitz Park. Check into our hotel in the heart of Dresden for the next three nights.

DAY 8  Monday 8 December 2025

Seiffen (Ore Mountains) (B)

Travel to Seiffen in the heart of the ‘Ore Mountains’ (Erzgebirge). Traditionally a mining region, it has now the world’s largest selection of German Nutcrackers. Return to Dresden to explore the Christmas market.

Enjoy a full day of sightseeing in Dresden, meticulously restored after World War II. Visit the impressive Dresden Zwinger, home to fascinating exhibits like the Porcelain Collection and the Green Vault.

Dresden to Leipzig (B/L)

Leave for Leipzig today; Richard Wagner’s birthplace. Afternoon guided tour of the city including the New Town Hall built in 1905, St. Thomas Church where Martin Luther preached and Bach was the music director. Lunch is served in a 500 year old restaurant where Johann Wolfgang von Goethe used to be a patron. Settle into our hotel for the night.

DAY 11 Thursday 11 December 2025

Leipzig to Nuremberg  (B/L/D)

We’re travelling South today to Nuremberg with a lunch stop in Bayreuth, where Wagner’s operas are performed at the annual Bayreuth Festival. Free afternoon in Nuremberg to explore Christkindlesmarkt, one of the oldest and most famous Christmas markets in the world.

Munich (B/L)

We spend our last day in Munich. A local guide will show us some of the main attractions of the city. Farewell Lunch at a local restaurant. Depart to the airport this afternoon for your homeward flight.
