You’ll arrive in Kota Kinabalu the capital of Sabah, Borneo and check-in to your hotel for the next two nights. Your resort is set in 25 acres of beautifully-landscaped gardens with coastal views.

DAY 2 THU 10 JUN

KOTA KINABALU (B/L/D)

Today you’ll explore Borneo’s rich ethnic diversity and traditional living. You’ll see local tribes cooking with bamboo, and making ropes from tree bark. Then enjoy unique tribal architecture, jungle serenity, live music and dance. This afternoon you will see more of Kota Kinabalu before our Welcome Dinner tonight with traditional dishes, dances and a fire show.

DAY 3 FRI 11 JUN

KOTA KINABALU TO KENINGAU (B/L/D)

Today you will travel across the scenic Crocker Range to the quaint town of Keningau. Visit the Keningau Handicraft Centre and try your hand at Batik painting and rattan weaving. Then check-in to your hotel in Keningau for two nights.

DAY 4 SAT 12 JUN

NATIVE ORCHID COLLECTION (B/L/D)

Sabah Agricultural Park is a conservation centre, educational hub and plant lover’s paradise all on your agenda today. You will explore 21 gardens including the Native Orchid Collection, Crop Museum and Ornamental Garden, all showcasing Borneo’s diverse flora and agricultural practices.

DAY 5 SUN 13 JUN 

KENINGAU TO MT KINABALU (B/D)

Today, you will travel from Keningau to the scenic town of Kundasang, famously known as the ‘New Zealand of Borneo’, due to its rolling green pastures, cool mist, and the dramatic backdrop. You check-in to your hotel for the next three nights with stunning views of Mt Kinabalu.

DAY 6 MON 14 JUN

MT KINABALU RAINFOREST (B/D)

Today you stop at Kinabalu Park, a UNESCO World Heritage hot spot of plant biodiversity and stunning landscapes. Then visit Kundasang War Memorial and its beautifully landscaped gardens of remembrance, set up in honour of the Australian and British prisoners of war who died during the death marches from Sandakan to Ranau in WWII.

DAY 7 TUE 15 JUN

PORING RAINFOREST (B/D)

You will travel to Poring this morning to explore the Lowland Dipterocarp Forest, a lush, tropical rainforest and home to an incredible diversity of plant and animal species. Then you’re in the hunt to find a Rafflesia in flower. The Rafflesia is a rare and fascinating plant for you to see, known for its enormous size and unique lifecycle. So good luck!

DAY 9 THU 17 JUN

KINABATANGAN RIVER CRUISE (B/L/D)

Dawn and dusk cruises are your treats today as you explore more of the Kinabatangan River. Watch for hornbills, proboscismonkeys, orangutans and pygmy elephants. Kinabatangan is home to 198 species of birds. You will have free time to enjoy your lodge and its beautiful surroundings today.

DAY 10 FRI 18 JUN

SANDAKAN MEMORIAL PARK (B/L/D)

We remember the 2400 Australian and British POW’s who lost their lives during WWII at the beautifully landscaped Sandakan Memorial Park. You will follow your time at the Memorial with a visit to the restored historic house of American author Agnes Keith.

DAY 11 SAT 19 JUN

SEPILOK ORANGUTAN SANCTUARY (B)

At the world famous Sepilok Orangutan Sanctuary, you’ll have the chance to meet orphaned orangutans in their natural habitat. Then you will see rescued sun bears at the wonderful Borneo Sun Bear Conservation Centre, dedicated to the protection and conservation of the world’s smallest bear species. This afternoon you fly back to Kota Kinabalu and check-in to your resort by the ocean for the next two nights.

DAY 12 SUN 20 JUN

DALIT NATURE RESERVE (B/D)

The day is yours to explore the luxury Shangri-la Rasa Ria Resort where the rainforest meets the sea. Enjoy the resort facilities, take a walk along the white sandy beach or join an optional hike with a resident Naturalist in the Dalit Nature Reserve. Then share memories and pictures at our Farewell Dinner tonight.
