Wisley, showpiece of the RHS with an impressive suite of gardens. Glasshouse with gardens designed by Tom Stuart-Smith and Piet Oudolf’s new perennial borders. Afternoon visit to West Dean in West Sussex are internationally respected for the high standard of horticultural practice. Restored walled Kitchen Garden and thirteen beautifully restored Victorian glasshouses that house orchids, fuchsias, figs, vines, melons and chillies. Exbury Gardens, a spectacular collection of landscaped woodland, herbaceous, contemporary, formal and wildflower gardens established over 100 years ago by the de Rothschild family. Hop onto the Steam Railway, a brainchild of the late Leopold de Rothschild and explore the gardens from a different perspective. Afternoon Walking Tour of Winchester.

BORDE HILL & RHS WAKEHURST (B/L) 

Borde Hill is a listed English Heritage Garden set within 81ha (200 acres) of woodland and parkland in Haywards Heath, West Sussex with magnificent views across the Ouse Valley viaduct.
The garden has distinct ‘rooms’, each with its own unique style and character. Lunch included today. Afternoon visit to RHS Wakehurst, a wild botanic garden and home to the Millenium Seed Bank, the world’s largest store of seeds from wild plant species.
